Thanks for stopping by! My (main) pseudonym is Kashi Kamitoma and I have a bunch of experience in teaching and the corporate world along with four years (and counting!) of Japanese to English translation under my belt. I took a decade-long break between my first and current forays into the translation industry because ~ life ~ got in the way. But as with so many others, the Coronavirus Pandemic forced me to re-evaluate my very existence, so I started translating on the side again in early 2022. I finally took the plunge and went full-time as a freelance translator in the fall of 2022.Two years later (I write this now in August 2024), I'm still plugging away at the #translationlife. There's a whole world of stories for readers to discover and it makes me happy to be a medium for creators working in Japanese to expand their fan base.
